Estes Park Wedding Photographer--------Mr. & Mrs. Vick

First & foremost...congratulations Amanda & Jason (Mr. & Mrs. Vick)!!! Their wedding took place in the Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado. It was absolutely beautiful with breath-taking views of snow-covered peaks all around. They could not have asked for a more gorgeous day...blue skies, sunshine & about 50 degrees; I don't think that can be beat on March 13th!!!

It was an emotion-filled ceremony with 30 friends & family gathered around as Amanda & Jason exchanged vows, rings & of course the "kiss." I had the priveledge of joining Amanda, bridesmaids & mom at a nearby hotel while they were getting ready...where I was able to capture some of my favorite pictures of the day. However, this day would NOT have had so many memorable moments captured had it not been for the help of my dear friend, Carrie. She "snapped" along side me from morning till the send off of Bride & Groom. I owe you many thanks Carrie for your patience, encouragement, great ideas & calming affect. You truly are a wonderful friend & amazing photographer!!!

Amanda & Jason, I hope you are having the time of your life on your honeymoon in Hawaii right now!!! In the meantime, I will plugging away at editing your photos from the "Big Day." Can't wait for you to see them when you get back. Once again, may God bless your new marriage & life together abundantly!!!

Excitement & Terror...

Ok, the purpose this post serves is to a.)share two of my latest & favorite "photography related" purchases & b.)keep myself busy!!! Let me explain...

Tomorrow I am photographing my first wedding EVER & I must be honest...I am a giant jittery ball of nerves right now. The only thing keeping me from freaking out is blogging & this giant pastry I'm devouring in front of me!!! It's not a pretty sight, trust me!=) The closer I get to the end of this day, the more food I shove in my face.

I'm keeping this short & sweet, but just know that my first picture is in no way about me, my crazy hair or my ecentric choice of color-combo today, but rather about my Canon Battery Grip (that I think makes me look more pro than I am).
The second pic is to show off my fabulously artsy camera strap by August Blossoms (found on Etsy.com). I absolutely adore it!!! It's so me. Floral on one side & stripes on the other.

For those of you who follow my blog, please think of me & PRAY for me tomorrow...it's a BIG day! And as always...stay tuned for some really fun wedding pictures in the near future!!!

Photographer Cristy & children

Cristy, a fabulous photographer & friend in Colorado Springs asked me to take pictures of her & her kids for her website. First of all...thank you Cristy for allowing me the priveledge of doing so & secondly, I think they turned out amazing! It is always a good time when we are together, no matter the circumstances & although we ended up with a few shed tears & almost a black eye in the midst of it all...I think we both ended up with some great pictures!!! =)

Love ya,
Courtney

Me & My kiddos!!!

One of my awesome photographer friends from Colorado took these pictures of me & my kids. I, in turn, took pictures of her & her kids. We had a great time laughing & smiling & taking turns playing "photographer." It is definitely easier to be behind the lens, we both agreed, but I think Cristy is absolutely beautiful and so easy to photograph. The camera loves her...although I know she would disagree with me!!!=) Her kids are equally charming and were quite patient with me as I moved them from pose to pose! As I am beginning to launch my photography business, Cristy has been there along the way! She has graciously allowed me to observe, learn and now photograph some of her weddings during the busy season. It's been awesome to glean wisdom from someone who has been in the "business" for a while. I look up to her in many ways & feel blessed to call her a friend.

P.S. I LOVE the one of Sawyer wrapped around my leg! I feel like it's a true depiction of what I go through in life at times...trying to juggle kids, a career, my part-time coffee shop job, after school activities, bible study, laundry, dishes, playing wife & mom. I'm sure MANY of you can relate, but that's what makes me REAL & I hope you see that 'realness' in my work! =)
