Colorado Springs Children Photographer---The Summers Kids

Back in the old west...

This photoshoot was with one of my oldest & dearest friends from High School along with her precious "cargo" (& even her mom). I think I speak for us all, when I say..."Yee-haw"---we saddled up for a good time at Rock Ledge Ranch & the Glenerie. All of the kids did great (including mine...who tagged along on this particular photoshoot). I loved, loved, loved all of the props my friend brought along to make this shoot a one of a kind: cowboy hats, boots, vests...even an old vintage rocking horse! We had so much fun hopping from spot to spot. It seemed like everything around us transformed into the old west; barn backdrops, split rail fences and old log cabins came to life in the photos. I thoroughly enjoyed my one on one time with each of her kids: Caden, Owen & Gracie as we took close-ups & tried to capture little cowboy & cowgirl smiles. Soooo much fun!!! Thanks for making time during your busy visit to Colorado for this photoshoot---it was super special & I LOVE these photos; hope you do too!

P.S. I especially like the photo of Kristin looking like "Super Mom" holding it all together with her beautiful smile while her kids are falling apart all around her!!! I think this was one of the last shots of the day!!! Ha-ha-ha. I just had to put it on the blog---as so many moms can relate. =)

Love you all,
Courtney

Colorado Springs Children Photographer---Clark & Hannah

I love "kid" photoshoots...seeing life through the eyes of young, innocent children...can't get much better than that!!!=) I had that privilege again just lastnight. Clark, age:4 & Hannah aka: Hank, age:2; kids of an old co-worker of mine...found my business page on FB & asked me to take pictures of her darling "babies." We started the shoot in their cozy/retro home where I learned all about "Polygon," Clark's stuffed parrot & played tea with Hannah & her special birthday tea set!!! Next we moved on to Old Colorado City where there were too many fun backdrops to choose from. We walked hand in hand down the sidewalks, window shopped & even stopped to smell the flowers and catch ladybugs. What a fun time was had by all! Last, but not least, we ended the photoshoot at the Old Colorado Creamery where we all enjoyed a yummy ice-cream cone on a hot July evening!!! Thanks Susie for looking me up & I hope to be of service to you in the future; whatever photography needs you may have!!! (wink-wink)

Blessings,
Courtney

Colorado Springs Children Photographer---Sweet Cousins

I can honestly say I have never laughed so much at a photoshoot than I did at this one!!! What fun I had with these three spirited little girls...so much spunk, so much personality & hello...did I mention, they are beautiful!!! Zoe, especially, had me in stitches with her strong-will & quirky head-tilts to the side. =) Greydi grilled me with questions all day & Sydney was quick to throw a smile in my direction every time I asked. As you can see from the pictures we ran the full gamut of experiences from running in wheat fields, to playing at the arcade, to flying balloons & they even got their fair share of ice-cream to finish off the day!!! I, like always, got carried away in the adventure of it all (taking way too many photos) & therefore had a hard time narrowing down which pictures to highlight on my blog. Thanks Gen for journeying with me & allowing me to photograph your adorable daughters & niece. What a day!!! Let's do it again...real soon. =)

P.S. Gen is a dear friend of mine & we've known each other for over 17 years!!! Wow, makes me feel old---just had to add that side note!
Love ya,
Courtney

Colorado Springs Baby Photographer---Dekker turns "1"

Sweet little Dekker turned 1 years old & I had the honor of taking his pictures!!! One is such a special age: learning to walk, getting those baby teeth & watching those personalities really come to life!!! We went to the Alice in Wonderland Park as well as Charlotte's Web Park...fun places for little people. It was a strange day weather wise however...started out rainy, got hot, then back to rainy & cooler. We all made the most of it though & captured some darn cute grins despite the craziness of the day!!! Thank you Jeni for allowing me to capture this special occasion & many blessings to you little Dekker in the year ahead!!!
