Project 52: wk3---"Shades of Grey"

I was falling a bit behind & I don't dare let this amazing project go...so; here is the the theme picture I chose for week 3: "Shades of Grey." Of course this picture was taken last summer when Sadie was using bright colorful sidewalk chalk & I just turned it into a b/w...but I still love it.

Colorado Springs Children Photographer---"Fabulous at Four"----Hannah!!!

Sweet, Innocent, Playful, Energetic, Joyful & 100% Adorable...meet Hannah...she just turned 4!!! What a wonderful age, what a wonderful girl. I had a BLAST at this shoot & I don't always say that! How often do you get to move furniture around, bring crazy props & pick out the wardrobe for your client by hand?! It was soooo much fun & Hannah had the best attitude...of course the jelly beans helped a little too!;) It was very difficult for me to choose which pictures to display on the blog...so many cute ones to choose from. Hope you love them all Sarah!!! =)

Courtney

Project 52: Week 1..."Around the house"

Ok, so I'm beginning a new little project, called "Project 52." Jodi Friedman of MCP Actions is encouraging photographers to join in on this little project in order to challenge themselves, learn more & creatively grow as artists. I am sooo up for the challenge! So many times I come home from a photoshoot & feel a little down because I often forget to take picture of my own life. I am so busy photographing others, that I tend to neglect the everyday events that occur arround me...including my own adorable kids & handsome hubby (of course I'm biased). Basically this project consists of taking 1 photo per week, which sounded so much easier & something I can accomplish vs. 1 photo per day (which probably just wouldn't happen)!!! There are themes per week & I am excited to see what she comes up with from week to week. The theme for week one is "Around the house"...& honestly this photo came easy to me! "Bronx," our almost 2 yr. old puppy does a lot of laying around the house & following me around the house. It will be fun to journal & photograph my way through 2011. Stay tuned for week 2...

Colorado Springs Children/Family Photographer---The Howard Family

The beautiful Howard Family & I met at Monument Valley Park early this morning for a gorgeous photoshoot. M & M, (as I had to refer to them) their beautiful daughters, were too cute for words!!! Everyone was so easy, flexible & might I say, VERY photogenic. It's always nice to have clients that come with some of their own ideas too. I love a woman that knows what she wants; thanks Emily! =)I know we were a bit pressured for time, but we got some AMAZING shots & I can't wait for you to see the rest.

Colorado Springs Event Photographer---Family Reunion

I had the honor of working with this wonderful group of 40 for a Family Reuion. We met at a local Retirement Center. I was blessed to help my fellow photographer & friend,Cristy with this photoshoot since she was out of town for the Holidays!!! It was a BIG group, but everyone was so kind & relaxed...they made it easy. =)Of course we had some laughs too...with many little babies & young children, there was some crying & screaming along the way; which made for all the more fun!

Colorado Springs Children/Family Photographer---MY family!!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY FAMILY!!! This was our first family photoshoot in many, many years & I had the privilege of photographing it. What fun we all had down at the barn at Rock Ledge Ranch. It was chilly as the sun dropped behind the mountains, but we had a blast laughing, hugging, jumping & everything in between. I had told my family to wear lots of layers, fabrics, colors& textures & they did JUST that. It was fabulous to watch each family drive up one at a time & step out of their cars & see the pops of color they arrived in. Couldn't have been better if I took them shopping myself. So many cousins, so much love...I especially enjoyed watching my parents embrace one another; afterall...if it weren't for them, none of us would be around. I am truly blessed to have such an awesome family & love each & every single one of them!!!
Love,
Courtney
