Monument Family Photographer----------The Dale Family

The Dale Family have become good family friends in the last year & I was thrilled to be taking their family photos at their charming home/Palmer Lake over the weekend!!! Amy, (wife & mom) is also my fabulous hairdresser...love her talent; unfortunately ladies, she's no longer taking new clients!!! =( Eric, Bekah & Ryan are pretty great too!!!;) As with many photoshoots that include young children, it sometimes takes a while for them to warm up to the idea of a camera lens in their face! So,I just took my time & followed them around---it allowed them to interact naturally---which is usually when the magic happens!!! =) We ended the shoot by taking some more family shots as the sun dropped behind the mountains at Palmer Lake. Thanks Amy & Eric for being patient with me & the kids, I think it really paid off. Last, but not least...thanks for dinner; it was sooooooooooo yummy!!! =)

Colorado Springs Baby/Children/Family Photographer---The Herman Family

Yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph the Herman Family at Garden of the Gods...I was thrilled for several reasons: 1), they are an adorable family of four & 2), the weather couldn't have been more perfect for the photoshoot!!! We walked around the park with two boys in tow: Gabe, who's 2 yrs. old & Baby Ben, who's 9 months old...I couldn't believe how well behaved both boys were; so relaxed & easy-going! I guess that's what happens when you have two laid back parents. =)I was in LOVE with the sunlight & how the lighting fell upon their hair & faces...such a great family...such a great shoot!!! Thanks again Herman family for making it quite an enjoyable experience yesterday. I hope you love your photos as much as I do!!! =)

Colorado Springs Newborn Photographer---Newborn Evan

I was thrilled when Angela asked me to take pictures of her newborn & fourth child, Evan Reilly. He is sooo sweet & sooo adorable...I wanted to take him home with me!!! =) Angela & I both planned some really fun ideas for this photoshoot; unfortunately for us, Evan had plans of his own!!!;) (wink-wink) Needless to say we didn't get to put him in bowls without a few tears shed or stick him in a suitcase filled with ties without some screaming; however with all the photo opps we didn't get...we still got some cute shots regardless. Thanks for hanging in there Angela---I know this isn't how you imagined it to go, but I still enjoyed photographing your new little blessing no matter what!!! =) Let me know if you are up for ROUND II???

Colorado Springs Baby Photographer---Miley's 6 months old!!!

Oh baby...can you say, "Happy Baby?" I had the privelege of taking Miley's 6 month old pictures this past week & had a wonderful time!!! I had been planning this shoot for a while & was able to use some new fun props for the first time---like my vintage suitcase & pearls. She was the perfect little client to use them on too...cute as a button! Thanks Miley, mom & sister, Julie for all of your help.
