Colorado Springs Children Photographer---Julie & Jonah

This had to be one of my favorite photoshoots of 2010. Love, love, love little Julie...who is about to turn 4!!! She is so spunky, uninhibited & definitely has her own eclectic style---an absolute blast to photograph! Big brother Jonah, was a little more stubborn & reluctant to let me photograph his beautiful baby blues... & getting a genuine smile out of him was slightly more challening; however, fun, nonetheless. Turning 6 & being a boy does that to ya...too cool for the camera! Ha! Thanks Melissa for setting this shoot up. Colorado Springs Children/Family Photographer---The Velasquez Family

With very short notice I recieved a text on Monday night asking if I could photograph the Velasquez Family for their Holiday Photos on Tuesday morning...fortunately for both of us, I could oblidge!!! It was such a pleasure to meet & photograph this adorable little family: Eric, Denele (5 months pregnant with baby boy) & little 16 month old Kailey. They were sooo easy & flexable, especially given the chilly winds we were working with. Colorado Springs Baby/Family Photographer---The Sparks Family

Ok, so I LOVE this family!!! I had the privilege of taking Meghan's maternity pictures, Jonah's newborn pictures & now their family pictures...so fun to watch them grow & change. =)We began our photoshoot inside their home on their one of a kind, awesome red sopha (my favorite)...we (Jonah) got to play with candy-canes, lollipops & reindeer ears. Next we went across the street to a fabulous park where we (Jonah) got to swing, play in a suitcase & go for a walk. It was the perfect photoshoot with one of the best families I know. Thanks guys...I hope you love these photos as much as I loved taking them!!! Looking forward to photographing many more family memories to come...

Longmont Family Photographer---The Lung Family

This photoshoot was all the way in beautiful Longmont, Colorado...where I met the Lung Family: Dave, Holly, Zach & Allison. It was a nice change of pace for me to be able to photograph teenagers during this family shoot instead of chasing around 2 yr. olds & making goofy noises!!! Don't get me wrong...I love little toddlers & capturing their amusing expressions, but it was also nice to be able to say smile, stop, etc. & them respond accordingly. =) It was such a pleasure to take pictures of this sweet family in front of their lovely home. Thanks Lung Family...I hope you love your pictures as much as I loved taking them!!!

Colorado Springs Children Photographer---S&S Mini-Shoot

Ok, so yesterday I had this overwhelming amount of guilt because I am always taking pictures of other people's kids & not my own. Yes, of course I take pictures of events, holidays, vacation, etc., but I haven't been very good at taking just "everyday moment" pictures of my own kids since beginning my photography business. So, after school yesterday I told the kids I was going to do an impromptu mini-photo shoot with them at a surprise location. The surprise was for all of us (because I really didn't know where I was going either!=)) I just drove until I was inspired...found this great little spot fairly close to our house & began snapping away. Of course the kids are used to a camera in my hand, so they didn't mind as I followed them around capturing all kinds of moments...some silly, some sweet, some definitely frameable!!! =) I love my kiddos so much & just HAD to share some of the pics from our mini-shoot. Hope you enjoy!
